Exclusive: Dhari AlShuraian on Life after 20

As a person reaches 20, he starts to see life differently and has a view on how he wants his future to be. He also starts to prioritize himself over his friends, as in the teenage days he had his friends as the most important thing in his life. Even though you don’t get any benefits as 18 or 21, if you look back in your life you’ll notice how far you have came and appreciate everything you have done and know you’re a few years away from entering the real world, because you’re nearly done from university without noticing how fast time flew by.

1: What are the most important lessons you learned?

The most important lesson.  I learned people these days don’t mind using others as obstacles so that they climb and reach higher statuses,

i learned nothing and no one is worth living for except your life and family.

Most importantly your brain is your weapon, so keep on working on it, you are never done with knowledge..it is infinite you know. The only thing thats holding you back could be your own laziness.

2:What do you stand for as of now?

I currently have chosen to just think about the present and not worry that much on the future because thinking about the future is too stressful, whats god written for each of us will happen so stop worrying that much because I know no one wants greyhair this young. At the moment i’m studying to get my bachelors degree in finance in the states. I have to include that studying abroad is a big life lesson and that it will teach you things you don’t get to learn from books, you get to be more responsible being alone thousands of miles away from home. People that say skype helps, it doesn’t. I really encourage studying abroad because it has lessons you will benefit from in the real life ahead. I think you can even build up your hobby, for example photography with me, since I have more chances of beautiful landscapes and scenes. I really love and enjoy capturing  photos and sharing them. I agree when they say a picture is worth a thousand words, since some photos take you breath away!

3: What are your plans for the future?

My future plans ofcoarse is like many others, being successful in life having a family …etc, in other words everyone is successful in their own ways, so..

i’m just a passenger in the boat of life and i’m going to be happy wherever this boat takes me

And of coarse I got my camera by my side to capture greatest moments that I enjoy in my life and share it. Be optimistic and enjoy life!
