At this point, im sure we are all wondering on what happened to KONY 2012. Just like millions around the world knew about it at a blink of an eye.. it is being forgotten at the drop of a dime. Its not “the cool new cause” anymore, and people are not supporting it as much as they use too. I worship how social media is the driving force behind this, infact its the reason you are reading this very post on Daydreamers Nest.

After April’s “Cover the Night”, you dont see it on instagram anymore, nor on twitter. So whats next? Well whats next is KONY 2013 “It was a bold thing to put a date on this,” Ben Keesey admits. “If Jan. 1, 2013, comes and Kony is still out there, then another year will have gone by in a world that has not come to the defense of the innocent.” He smiles. “I’m sure we’ll think of a way to get that message across, too.”

Sources say that the masterminds behind KONY 2012 are planning a global dance party to raise awareness and generate publicity.

OUR OPINION:

Dancing isn’t gonna solve anything (let’s not get carried away), and if they were to take advantage of social media we are sure that there are better ways getting the attention they need, than a dance party..What?

However no matter how big this movement gets the true success can only be measured by the capture of Joseph Kony himself.
